Gran Canaria Airport : How to get from the airport to Maspalomas ?

The quickest and most hassle-free alternative to get to your destination is probably a taxi. It's very easy to catch; you don't need a reservation, and it will take about 25 minutes to get to Maspalomas. There is no fixed fare for the journey. Everything depends on how long the journey takes, as the taximeter will give you the final price to pay. The further away you are staying, the more you will pay. The average price for a journey between the airport and Maspalomas is about €45. But it has its drawbacks: not all taxis are the same, not all are modern, and not all drivers are friendly. Some will play the radio with football or their favourite music, for example, and sometimes they bother to turn down the volume if you ask them to, other times not so much. It's a matter of luck.

In Gran Canaria, there are several private passenger transport companies that offer their services to take you from the airport to your destination in the south of the island. Most of them have new, comfortable vehicles and good door-to-door service. There is no need to wait in line to take it. They will wait for you upon arrival at the terminal with your name and surname and make you feel like a true VIP. It is imperative to book at least 48 hours in advance, and prices vary depending on the company, but in general, it usually costs between €40 and €50 per trip. You can book a round trip or just one way, as you prefer. Payment is made through the company's website. Drivers are usually very professional and quiet, and sometimes sexy !

· Shuttle Services, the in-between option

Also offered by a variety of companies in Gran Canaria, this option is a hybrid between public and private transport and allows you to make the journey on a bus exclusively for tourists, a transfer shared with other travellers who, like you, are looking to go from the terminal to their hotel. It usually costs around €14, much cheaper than a private transfer, but you have to take into account that they take you on a tour of all the hotels where they drop off their clients, and it can take much longer to get to your destination. But, unlike public transport, the shuttle leaves you at the door of your holiday place.
