Gran Canaria Airport offers several VIP services that are good to know and which can be very practical for some people, such as the exclusive waiting room, priority access or escort and personalized assistance.
Whatever your needs, whether you are a businessman, an elderly person, a passenger with reduced mobility, or simply want to be pampered and treated as a special being, there is always a VIP service which could fulfill and satisfy you.
Exclusive waiting room
The exclusive waiting room at Gran Canaria Airport is reserved for VIP passengers. It is located on the 2nd floor of Area C and remains open from 7am to 8pm every day. Called "Sala VIP Galdós", this space has a large 400 m2 terrace with ocean views and offers various services such as a personalized welcome, food and refreshments, digital press, television, real-time flight information, luggage storage, shower room, silent and rest area, loan of computers, and, of course, high speed wifi.
Access to the room is possible from four hours before the departure of the flight recorded on the boarding card. A subscription to this service costs €31.79 for adults and €14.64 for children aged 5 and over. Each subscription is valid for a period of 6 months.

Priority boarding
The priority boarding service allows you to skip the lines and benefit from faster procedures for accessing aircraft. Note, however, that in Gran Canaria, this service is less efficient than in other airports in Spain. Indeed, if in cities like Madrid or Barcelona, priority boarding gives the possibility of going through parallel accesses which are used by almost no one, in Gran Canaria it is simply a question of going before the others, but using the same corridors as them. You will therefore always see many people on your way and will not benefit from real peace ! Nevertheless, the transfer is supposed to be faster, especially to pass through security checks.
Access to priority boarding costs €5.13 per person. It is only valid once and can be purchased up to seven days before its date of use.
Personalized support and assistance
AENA's personalized support and assistance service is called "Meet & Assist" and is only available at eight airports in Spain, including Gran Canaria. This is a very complete traveler status, which includes a whole range of top-of-the-range services, among other things personalized reception, individual support, assistance at all stages of the journey within the airport, access to the VIP room, additional information about flights and connections, priority passage through security checks as well as check-in and boarding procedures, up to baggage claim.
The Meet & Assist service is available both on departure and on arrival or during connections. On departure or in the event of a connection between two flights, it costs €182.17 per person and €227.71 for unaccompanied minors. The same service on arrival costs €91.08 per person and €113.85 for unaccompanied minors. It can be purchased online at the Gran Canaria airport website. A purchase must be made at least 72 hours before flight departure.
Once payment has been made, an airport agent will get in touch with the person who will benefit from the service to arrange an appointment and a meeting point. The duration of the service is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.
